About Us

I won a bid on a full size violin at an auction site a couple years ago when I wanted to replace my daughter’s ¾-sized violin.  Before I placed the bid, the seller answered my questions on the phone and via Email.  But when I received the violin and it turned out to be a ½-sized instead, she never answered my phone or returned my Email.

Several years ago, a 60-inch plasma HDTV on a leading auction site was asking for $4,000 while its market value was around $20,000.  The seller said the unit would be shipped from Amsterdam and he asked me to wire cash to Spain via Western Union.  I am glad I did not follow the seller’s instruction after consulting with friends.

I put my items on the same auction site twice but it never got sold.  I lost money because I had to pay for listing fees plus extra money for additional photos and using bold font.  I lost money when I was in great need of money.

Because of these frustrations, I decided to design and found a company and a web site where members trust one another, sellers and buyers can talk and even see each other before and after sales and no one will ever have to pay a fee before he or she can make money.  Here comes HelpExchange.com.

We have a dream.  With great ideas and sincere heart, we are working hard to address your concerns, to satisfy your needs, to earn your trust and make our dream come true.

HelpExchange.com, based at St. Davids, PA, is founded with a cooperate mission stated as below:

Our mission is:

  • To create an honest, fraud-free and trustworthy community where members are not hidden from one another, where sellers and buyers can talk and see each other before and after the sale.
  • To develop a risk-free, no in-advance cost market platform where no seller or buyer is to pay any fee for any offer or help-wanted listing.  The members can post unlimited listings for as long as he wants for free.  Sellers should focus on providing top quality service at competitive price instead of worrying their marketing burdens.
  • To foster a review-based market place where industrious and competitive sellers are rewarded for their top quality service and buyers have open and reliable information upon which to make choices.
  • To build an efficient and effective market that benefits both the sellers and the buyers and fulfills our social responsibility as a corporation.
